EDMONDS CLIMATE ADVISORY BOARD
Guidelines for Publication of Articles
Thank you for your interest in writing for the Edmonds Climate Advisory Board’s website. We very much welcome articles written by members of the community on climate-related topics. Publishing articles from the community increases our ability to provide the public with a broad range of topics on climate change and its impacts, and the dangers temperature changes are having in our city, state, nation, and globally.
When submitting articles to the CAB, we would like you to know that our website’s editor reviews all articles prior to publication. This is a win-win because it makes sure that the article meets your own standards for wanting to see your article in print, as well as those of the CAB by offering articles of a consistent standard. For those reasons, the editor’s review focuses on the following: grammar, punctuation, spelling, sentence structure, accuracy, and sources for any factual content or references. Our editor may also make suggestions if a clarification is called for, or if a further sentence or two would lead to additional interest in your article. Last, but not least, the article must be relevant to climate.
Please feel free to submit relevant photos with your article. There is no guarantee they will be published, but, if no photo is submitted, the editor may choose appropriate photos from the CAB’s library. The editor may also write or revise a headline for your article.
When submitting your article for publication, please note whether or not you would like to see the edited version before publication, or if you are OK with it being published directly.
Thanks again for your interest in writing for our website on climate and associated environmental topics.
